The Other Art Fair Brooklyn: Celebrating 100 Editions of Creativity Across the Globe
Brooklyn’s vibrant art scene will be buzzing as The Other Art Fair returns from October 17 to 20 at ZeroSpace in New York. Presented by Saatchi Art, this milestone event will showcase 120 independent artists from around the world, offering visitors a unique opportunity to purchase original artworks directly from the creators.
In celebration of its 100th global edition, this fair will feature exciting attractions, including live dance performances from It’s Showtime NYC inside a model subway car exhibiting artwork from Poster Journal. A key highlight of the fair will be the diverse talent on display, featuring global and local artists. Among the standouts exhibiting at the fair is French-Canadian multidisciplinary artist Alek Bélanger. His introspective pieces explore themes of identity and queerness, inviting reflection on self-discovery and belonging.

Jiro Ishihara, a contemporary artist from Japan, merges photography, video, and new media to explore the relationship between objects and perception. His photo-sculptures and innovative works invite viewers to engage deeply with the sensory nature of visual media.
U.S.-based artist Steve Rahbany weaves tactile sensations into his hand-sewn pillow art. His works evoke the comfort of childhood memories while addressing contemporary issues. Through textured layers and nostalgic imagery, Rahbany’s art sparks conversation about how personal histories are interpreted and experienced in the present.

Amy Kang is a visual artist and cellist merging music and art. Her “Bach Project” transcribes musical scores into color, with each brushstroke representing a note. Her work aims to unveil the hidden harmonic beauty of classical music through vibrant abstract compositions.

Lastly, Vessna Scheff’s work combines watercolors and music to create multi-sensory stories of liberation, love, and resilience. Her art reflects the fluid nature of Black living and human connection, with each piece embracing movement and freedom.
With an eclectic mix of emerging artists and interactive experiences, The Other Art Fair is an unmissable celebration of art, culture, and community. Whether you’re an avid collector or a first-time visitor, the fair offers something for everyone.
